Proceedings of the CSHPM/SCHPM
Instructions for Authors
Please submit your paper for inclusion in the Proceedings as soon
as possible, but no later than September 30, 2008.
Electronic submission in Word format is strongly encouraged.
Articles must be proceeded by an abstract, which may be the one that
was submitted for the conference. Authors must
submit an abstract in both English and French. Conference speakers must be members of CSHPM to publish in the Proceedings. Contributors are requested to limit their submissions to roughly correspond to the paper presented.
Remember that the publication of your paper in the Proceedings
in no way precludes its publication elsewhere. The copyright will still
be held by you.
Downloading the Instructions for Authors
Instructions for Electronic Submission
You may download the Instructions for Authors in a variety of formats.
Right-click your mouse on your preferred format, and select
"Save Link As...". Be sure to save the file where you will find
it easily (e.g., your Desktop).
All papers submitted electronically and on time will be uniformly typeset.
-
You may use any word processor or typesetting system. The preferred system
is Microsoft Word, because it makes the Editor's job easier. However, some
variant of TeX (such as plain TeX, LaTeX, or AMS-TeX) or WordPerfect is
acceptable. (Your paper will be converted to either word or TeX.)
-
You must email your paper as an attachment to the Editor. Please
indicate what word processing or typesetting system you used.
(Note: if you use a TeX variant, please be sure to send the .tex
file itself.)
-
Please also submit hard copy to the Editor at the address given below.
This should look as close as possible to what the author(s) would like
to see in print, especially regarding diagrams.
-
If your paper includes figures which can be sent electronically, please
do so. Again, please include a note indicating what format the figures
are in. (Postscript is preferred, but any format is acceptable.) Otherwise,
please send the figures by hard copy alone. You do not need to leave
space in your paper for the figures, but please indicate the
approximate location of each figure.
-
Figure captions may be sent in a separate file or included in the paper
itself. In the latter case, they should clearly marked as such.
-
You may use either footnotes or endnotes for references, but the page
proofs you eventually receive may not use your initial preference.
If you have any questions regarding your paper or the Proceedings,
please contact the Editor.
