Although my Russia photo gallery has more pictures of Moscow, I'll give a couple pages with Moscow pictures. The city is truly improving; compared to 1997 it is cleaner, more prosperous, more orderly, safer, and more pleasant. For those who just see Moscow and don't venture out into the hinterlands, Russia's transition looks like it's going well. Below is the famous Red Square, and then a scene from a food court in a Moscow shopping mall (Ramstore). You may not be able to read Russian, but I bet you can figure out what chains are represented!
