In the evening the celebration had a Gorka, literally a circle of people in traditional customs, singing songs, and dancing. They did this for about two and a half hours, and then started dancing informally afterwards. The evening was perfect – warm, sunny, but not hot. This particular celebration is unique to this village. Though in the Komi Republic, Ust-Cil'ma was settled by Russians who were fleeing Christianity and trying to hold on to their own traditions. They keep alive their heritage with pride.
