- March 1, 2005: An interview with Pascal Nabet-Meyer,
who has recorded and produced two albums of
the
TAHITIAN CHOIR on the remote South Pacific island Rapa Iti, some 900 miles from
the nearest land. The 126-voice choir (more than one quarter of the
island's population) uses techniques of pitch bending that are unlike
anything you've ever heard. Check out the interview, complete with samples of the music, at the radio show
ON POINT.
- March 14, 2005:
An extensive page on the
AEOLIAN HARP,
a stringed instrument that plays itself when the wind blows across its
strings. Lots of pictures and sound files here.
