Near the start a number of women carrying bread panned out to offer the crowd pieces of bread as a sign of welcoming and hospitality. The bread was delicious (I got a piece), and in the center of the loaf they had salt, and when you took a piece you were to dip it in salt. Yummy! The second picture is of the narrator sitting down between skits, studying her next bit. She had a beautiful voice – Russian is a very beautiful language when spoken slowly and with style. I’m still learning it (it was frustrating at times to only have a limited vocabulary despite having studied quite a bit, but it also gives me incentive to study hard before the next visit!), but in both style and grammar it’s really a beautiful language (though much more difficult to master than German).
