City is a city of fading glory. Her beloved king has fallen ill, with what,
the public does not know, but it is clear that the nobles are eager for their chance to secure new holdings of land and favor with a change of rule.
The prince, BOB, bores of politics and yearns for adventure – he thinks little of ‘the game of houses’ that the nobles play. A young prince of only some twenty-odd winters, he has only been involved in skirmishes and wishes for the glory of a great campaign. He is a strong idealist, and often considered ‘the people’s prince’ but the Captain of the Guard TED restrains the prince from going many places, as he fears assassination given the tumultuous times.
The princess LADY, however, is quite the opposite, the daughter of King Garrick, of the rival city of Ostrhine, is quite the power player. Often able to easily get what she wants through manipulations and games of words and minds. Rumors and whispers circle about her dissatisfaction with her husband, and his disinterest with her – however such rumors are whispered in back rooms and only by those who dare to have such words pinned to them.
